These Terms & Conditions govern your use of stoicbastion.com, blog.stoicbastion.com, and the digital products sold by Stoic Bastion Press ("we", "us", the "Publisher"). By accessing the site or purchasing a book, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site or buy our products.

1. Merchant of Record

All purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy handles payment processing, invoicing, sales tax and VAT collection, fraud prevention, and refunds, and is the seller of record on your receipt. Purchases are also subject to Lemon Squeezy's Buyer Terms, available at lemonsqueezy.com/buyer-terms.

2. The Products

We publish digital books in PDF and EPUB formats. When you buy a book you will receive a download link by email, typically within a few minutes of purchase. The specific features, length, and contents of each book are described on its sales page. Samples, excerpts, and prefaces may be published on the site for preview.

3. License to the Buyer

On purchase, you receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal license to read, annotate, and store the book for your own use on devices you own or control. You may keep a reasonable number of backup copies.

You may not:

• Resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or redistribute the book, in whole or in part.
• Post the book to public file-hosting, torrenting, or piracy services, or share download links with others.
• Strip digital watermarks or DRM identifiers from the file.
• Use the contents to train machine-learning models, or to create derivative products that substantially reproduce the book.
• Translate, adapt, or republish the book in any form without our prior written permission.

The Publisher retains all copyright and intellectual-property rights not expressly granted in this license. Short quotations for review, criticism, or academic citation are permitted with attribution.

4. Pricing and Payment

Prices are shown in United States dollars. Applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST is added at checkout based on the billing address you provide. Promotional prices, bundles, and launch-week discounts apply only during the specified window and cannot be applied retroactively.

5. Delivery

Digital delivery is automated: the download link is sent to the email you provide at checkout. If the link does not arrive within one hour, check your spam folder first, then contact us through our form and we will resend it. Download links may expire after a period for security; you can request a fresh link at any time.

6. Refunds

Our refund policy is set out in full at /refund. In short: within 30 days of purchase, if you have honestly engaged with the book and it has not been useful to you, we will refund your purchase in full.

7. No Professional Advice

Our books discuss physical, mental, and behavioral discipline. The material is educational and philosophical and is not a substitute for professional medical, psychological, legal, financial, or fitness advice. Always consult a qualified professional before changing your diet, exercise, medication, or major life decisions. If you have a medical or mental-health condition, speak to a doctor first.

8. Assumption of Risk

The practices discussed in our books (cold exposure, fasting, heavy lifting, sleep protocols, etc.) carry real physical risk when done without preparation or supervision. You accept full personal responsibility for any exercises or practices you choose to undertake. Do not begin any practice you are not medically cleared for.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The site and the books are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or availability. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that outcomes described in the books will be achieved by any specific reader.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Publisher's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the site or the books is limited to the amount you paid for the product in the twelve months preceding the claim. In no event are we liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost data.

11. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its servers, or its databases.
• Scrape, mirror, or republish content without permission.
• Use the site or its content for any unlawful, harassing, or harmful purpose.
• Interfere with other users' access to the site.

We may suspend or terminate access for violations, and pursue any remedies available to us under law.

12. Changes to the Service and These Terms

We may change pricing, availability, or product contents at any time. We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in practice or law; the current version always appears on this page with the Effective date above. Continued use of the site after changes indicates acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute not resolved by the refund process will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tokyo, Japan, unless a mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
